Massachusetts: Task Force 1 (MATF-1)
Description: Massachusetts Task Force 1 ( MATF-01) Urban Search and Rescue Team (US&R) is located Beverly, Massachusetts.. Urban Search and Rescue teams are composed of Police, Fire, EMS and Civilians (62 total people when deployed) and respond to major disasters under a contract with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Each member is financially responsible for their own equipment and supplies. They strive for perfection within a field that does not provide any monetary remuneration for their service or time.

Located in East Tennessee we have certified K9 Teams in all areas of search and recovery for wilderness,urban or water.We have a Forensic Dive Team, Strutural Collapse technicians, high angle and confined space, Certified ground searchers and SAR Management personnel that will respond anywhere.
